A pleasant afternoon was spent yesterday in the Plunket room, in aid of tire Farmers’ Queen. Compel il ions were indulged in and a dainty afternoon lea was provided. The winners of the competitions were as follows: pattern piecing Miss Shortt; N.Z. Towns, Mrs W. Walker; observation • test, Mrs Owen.
