BOWLS ON SUNDAY.
THORNDON CLUB REJECTS PROPOSAL. At the annual meeting of the Thorndon Bowling Club last night, a lengthy discussion took place on a motion of Mr. T. S. Ronaldson, to the effect that the green should he open on Sunday to play to members of the club only. After a lengthy discussion the motion was put to the meeting. The voting resulted in the motion being defeated by a very considerable majority.—Dominion.
