OBITUARY .
C A THERINE E LIZABETII SYMONS, AGED 65 YEARS
W'e regret to record the death of Airs Catherine Elizabeth Symons, wife of Air. Chas. 11. Symons, which took place at her late residence, Robinson St., at an early hour this morning, aged 65 years. The late Airs Symons enjoyed comparatively good health up to about two months ago, when she was stricken with a serious illness, from which she never rallied. The late Mrs Symons was the eldest daughter of the late Douglas Wallace Esq., a well-known sta-tion-owner of Tautanc, Cape Turnagain, East Coast, where she was born. For many years Mrs Symons lived with her husband on their farm at Ofuru, on the LevinFoxton road, removing to Foxton about nine years ago. The late Mrs Symons was of a< quiet and kindly disposition, a devoted wife and beloved by all who knew her. She was an active worker and member of AH Saints’ Church. We join with Foxton citizens in extending our sincere sympathy to her bereaved husband and relatives. Besides her late husband the deceased leaves four sisters (Airs Hirsehberg, Atasterton; Aliss Wallace, Wanganui; Mrs E. Chalmers, Masterton), and-two brothers (Messrs W. IT. Wallace, Wellington, and R. B. Wallace, Levin), to mourn their loss.
The funeral will take place on Thursday next, leaving the residence of her late husband, at 1.15 p.m. for All Saints’ Church and thence to the local cemetery.
