FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs. Levin & Co;, Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 26th June, 1926: — “Frozen meat quotations (prices cm a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, tic ). Down lambs 28/42’s, 9gd; best North Island 28/42’s, Did; ordinary North Island 28-42’s, 9;}; second quality lambs 28/42’s, 9£d; best North Island wether sheep 48/64’s; 6jd; best North Island wether sheep 64/72’s, 5Jd; ordinary North Island wether sheep 48/64’s, 6d; North Island ewes 48/64’s, 4^d; North Island ewes 64/72’s, 3Ad; New Zealand prime ox beef 160/220’s, nil. The lamb market is very weak. Mutton, light weights, are firm, others weak. As compared with last week’s quotations, lamb is Id per lb cheaper, with the exception of 2nd quality lamb, which is Jd per lb. cheaper. Best North Island wether 64/72’s Jd per lb. cheaper. Others unchanged.
