HOCKEY.
EXCELSIORS DRAW WITH FOXTON. Foxton journeyed to Levin on Wednesday, but returned after drawing 3 all with Excelsiors. In Wednesday’s game play was de sultovy for a brief spell until Foxlon made a rush, and an excellent pass from Miss Walls enabled Miss Vertong'cn to score Foxton’s first goal. The two Foxton wingers, Miss Patterson and Walls, eac-h played a good stick throughout. Shortly after Foxton’s first goal, Miss Worsfold sprinted down the wing and goaled for Levin. Half time saw the scores at Foxton 2, Levin 1, the former having scored their second goal a few minutes before the close of the first spell. On resumpton Levin were the aggressors, and a good passing movement ended in Levin drawing level. Midway through the second spell Miss Worsfold added a third goal, which was shortly after equalled by a similar effort from the visitors, three all being the final score.
