FOXTON’S REPRESENTATIVE IN MAORI ALL BLACKS.

LOCAL RECOGNITION SUGGESTED. The Foxton Football Club and general public are proud of the fact that Mote (“Moses”) their star senior back, has been selected as one of the Maori representatives to tour France and Great Britain. But something more than club and local pride in his selection should be forthcoming. We would suggest that the club arrange a fitting “send-off” to “Moses” and present him with the wherewithal to purchase personal comforts during the tour. “Moses” will pardon us for saying that he is not a millionaire, and we feel sure that every “sport” in the town and district will be pleased to contribute to such a fund which we sincerely hope will be started. There is not much time to spare before liis departure and we suggest that the club take the matter up at once and arrange details. As a footballer, “Moses” is an absolutely clean player and, what is more, a gentleiiian both on and off the lield, hence his popularity. Let us unite., therefore, in showing our practical appreciation of his good qualities by sending him away with a well-tilled wallet.
