GIRL GUIDES.
At the last meeting of the Girl Guides, Dr. Wyllie gave an address on first aid work and bandaging. The lecture and demonstration was instructive and interesting, and greatly apreciated by the girls.
This afternoon the guides farewelled Miss Browning, who is leaving Eoxton shortly. The ceremony was in the form of a tramp to the Beach, then afternon tea prepared by the guides. Miss Browning, who was instrumental in forming the company, was made a little presentation as a token of the guides appreciation and esteem. The ladies of the guides’ committee were also present by invitation of the girls, and quite appreciated their kindU(‘SS. To-morrow the guides will meet at the school at 10.30 in readiness for Church Parade. The first parade will be held at the Methodist church, where they will attend service at 11 ft.m.
