ROYAL PICTURES. Gerald Beaumont, famous magazine writer of racing stories,' is responsible for the theme of the Reginald Barker Metro-Goldwyn production, “The Dixie Handicap," which conics to the Royal theatre to-morrow night. It has snap, nerve, and a pleasing live interest. Th'e big cast is headed by a trio of well-known players —Frank Keenan, Claire Windsor, and Lloyd Hughes. They combine well and keep the plot moving in a highly satisfactory manner. On Saturday Fnivorsal’s Rough Riding corps appears in “The Outlaw’s Daughter," a Universal Blue Streak Western which is coming to the Royal theatre. In the cast are Edward Ileai ne, Robert Walker, Jack Gavin, Harry Todd, Ben (torlmll and Boh Burns. Comedy: "Taxi War.” . “MIRACLE OF THE WOLVES." l’ietu!ogoers have a treat ih store at the Town Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening when the French screen masterpiece “The Miracle of lhe Wolves” is to he screened. This great spectacle picture has a east of 7,000 players in its big scenes and hordes of wild wolves. I‘or realistic thrills some of the scenes in which these animals appear have been decribed by London papers as unsurpassed in screen annals. The story deals with the life of a French heroine quite entitled to honour as the famous Joan of Arc. With a selected supporting programme this picture will be screened on Iriday only. An unscrupulous man —the insatiable lure, of gambling—a youth and his bride —are ihe potential factors in “The Wheel,” Saturday’s big feature, a tremendous drama that deals with the fascinating ruinous gilded corridors of chance.
