NOVEL MATCHMEN IN SKIRTS v. LADIES. A novel hockey match is to be played on the racecourse on Satur--dav next between the local lady hockey players and a team of male “old 'buffers” who are to play in female attire. The teams will be as -follows: —Ladies. —M. Vertongon, E. Henskie, N. Woods, R. Barber, B. Gower, M. Patterson, C. Walsh, M. Stevenson, N. Spring, B. Penman, and Iv. Martin. Men. —AY. E. Bullard, D. Christie, Barron, A. Stevenson, Roore, Sorhy, S. Austin, 11. ITornblow, G. Alexander, M. Cook, 11. Hutchins. Emergencies: J. K. Hornblow, M. E. Pcrrean F. Mason. Bully-off at 2.30. Referees: Mrs Barron and Mr F. AYoods. The following team will represent Fox-ton against Levin, at Levin tomorrow: —E. Patterson, L. Davey, M. Vertongen, M. Stevenson, AA r . AA'all-s, B. Gower, N. Woods, R. Barber, N. Spring, M. Patterson, and F. Wilson. Emergency: M. Purcell, children and 77 great-grandchild-ren.
