Buck Jones’ latest starring picture, “Durand of the Bad Lands,” which screens at tliet Town Hall to-night is undoubtedly the best western thriller that this hard riding cowboy lias' made. Directed by Lynn Reynolds, maker of the “Lone Star Ranger” and “The Deadwood Coach.” This production fairly breathes the spirit of the west, and is! full of action, pathos and humour, from the first title to the fadeout. A comedy special “Love and Lions,” a variety picture “Sky Tribe,” and Fox News' complete the list. Usual prices. The real inside story of what happens to the thousands of beautiful girls who disappear each year in New York will he seen in “Into the Net” the leading picture on Monday next. ROYAL PICTURES. • One of the most clever 1 bits of double exposure ever used in a motion picture was shot in making a lovely life size' portrait of Miss Jacquline Logan in “Peacock Feathers,” a Universal-Jewel picture, which will he screened at the Royal Theatre to-night. Miss Logan appears in the scene as both the model and the portrait. Centuary comedy: “Scandal Hunters.” On Monday night one of the biggest pictures of the year motor driven apparatus dashing wildly through the crowded streets, raging lives and spectacular rescues—will characterise “Thru’ the Flames,” a Richard Talmadge production considered to be the star’s biggest thrill picture yet tilmed.
