MANAWATU COUNTY ROADS.
CLASSIFICATION APPROVED,
The Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. J. G. Contes), in his capacity as Minister of Public Works, has approved of the Manawatu County Council’s proposed classification of roads. The schedule is as under :
Road classified ih the second class available for the use of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum. load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 8 tons) : Sanson’s Line, Rongotea Road (to tramline), Bank’s Waitohi Road, Green Road, Taupo-Awahuri Road, Taupo-Awahuri Road, Penn’s Line, Ohakea Terrace Road, Kowhai Road.
Roads classified in the third class (available for the use otany motor-lorry which, with the maximum load is licensed to carry, weighs not more than G tons): — No. 1 Line and No. 2 Line, Foxton, Beach Road, Main Drain Road, Taikorea Road, Couper’s Line, Kellow’s Line, Tompkin’s Line, Milner’s Line, Kaimatarau Road, Rosina Line, Campion’s Line, Riverbank Road, Mill Road, Rowe’s Line, Hammond’s Line, Taylors Line, Frecklington’s Line, Speedy’s Line, Richardson’s Line, McDonnell's Line, Gust’s Line, Kakariki Road, Bulls-Feilding Rond, Mount BiggsMount Stewart Road, Rnkehou Rond, Cemetery Road, Lee’s Line. Roads classified in the fourth class (available for the use of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than four tons): Koputaroa Road, Lake Road, Pukipuki Road, Pykc’s Road.
