ROYAL PICTURES. “The Red Rider” UniversalBlue Streak Western, starring Jack Hoxie, to be screened at the Royal theatre to-night is a romantic picture story of the days when settlers and Indians fought for the possession of the AVjest. Hoxie impersonates the character of “White Elk” who the Indians believe has been sent to them by the Great Spirit. The picture is full of all the mysticism of the tribes. Centunry comedy: “Buster Be Good.” On Monday night Franklyn Farnum will be seen in “When East Comes a Western comedy drama by Anthony Coldowey. Also comedy entitled “The Lion’s Share.” On Friday next the first of a series’of Aletro-Goldwyn pier tares .entitled “The Silent Accuser.” Don’t miss it. SEQUEL TO “THE SHEIK” AT toayn HALL. E. Al. Hull’s sensational novel — sequel to “The Sheik,” “Shadows ,of the East” will head a fine programme at the Town Hall pictures to-night only. The story deals with the love story of a young English University man who whilst in India contracts an Indian marriage with a sixteen year old Indian girl and is then called home to England and finds himself continually conscience stricken by “Shadows of his Eastern past.” He eventually joins a band of Arabians in a Desert Crusade in the hope of meeting death, but by a singular twist of the plot his troubles disappear suddenly and a happy ending to a dramatic story ensues. Frank Alayo, Mildred Harris, and Norman Kerry are the stars. An Al. St. John comedy “Dumb and Dally” and News, also usual prices. Monday: “A Cafe In Cairo.” A story of mystic Egypt.
