ROBBERY AT THE BEACH.

Three garages at the local Beach were broken into last Tuesday night and various articles removed therefrom. A case of benzine and tin of oil were taken from Mr. Wislmrt’s garage and subsequently the benzine was found in the back seat of Mr. Cornfoot’s ear which had been pushed by the marauders out of the garage, evidently with a vjew to making a get-away with it. The oil was not found and in conversation with our representative, Mr. Washart said that if the oil had been poured into (lie crank case of the car, a Ford, it would have been practically impossible to start up as the oil was far too heavy for a light ear. It was evident that an attempt had been made to start the car. Some of the articles removed from other garages were subsequently found scattered about. The police are making investigations.
