FROZEN MEAT MARKET
Messrs. Levin & Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents dated 28th May, 1920: “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls eto). Down lambs, 28/42’s, 10 gd per lb.;' best North Island, 28/42’s, l()d per lb.; ordinary North Island, 28/42’s, 9gd per lb.; second quality lambs, 28/42’s, 9ld per lb; best North Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, SMI per lb; best North Island wether sheep, 04/72’s, s ld per lb; ordinary North Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, 5;4d per lb; North Island ewes 48/64’s, 4id per lb; North Island ewes 64/72’s, 32 d per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef 100/220’s, 4d per lb. As compared with last week’s quotations, down lamb is unchanged, other lamb id cheaper. Light wethers and ewes unchanged, heavy wethers id cheaper. Beef unchanged. There is very little demand for mutton and the market is weak.
