The Ala Iron of All Saints’ Beach Home desires to acknowledge the following gifts made during last month: — Oroua Downs: —Ladies’ Guild, Six sacks potatoes, one sack each of sugar, rice, flour, cabbages, onions, carrots, turnips, parsnips, children’s clothing, 20 pots jam, cocoa, cournflour, kitchen utensils, donation. Alanukau: —Mrs Slack, sack vegetables. Feilding: —Airs Hocken, apples; Airs Carthew, children’s clothing. Foxton: —Air. Oliver, dripping; Mrs K. Parkes, jams; Airs Hutton, babys’ clothing; Airs A. S. Easton, flowers, buns, case apples, sack of oatmeal; Air. Christie, flowers; A Friend, 8 vases; Airs F. Robinson, butter, vegetables, fruit, dripping; Air. AA’alls, buns, cakes; Aljr. Perreau, buns, cakes; Mr. Yeo, sack of ham bones; Air Bryant, meat, Airs E. Healey, cheque. Foxton Beach: —Air. G. Hartley, three ducks; Airs E. Gardener, boys’ clothing; Airs Larsen, fish; Mrs Brown, flowers; Air. R. Owtram, ease apples. Levin: —Girl Guides, groceries, vegetables. Himatangi:—A Friend, vegetables. Wellington:—All's and Aliss Smith, children’s clothing; Airs Gell, children’s books; Airs Jenkins, children’s books. The Alatron also wishes to draw public notice to the wonderful result of a gift evening recently held at Oroua Downs, on behalf of the Home. The President of the Ladies’ Guild (Airs Raikes) and guild members deserve great praise and credit for thinking of so many good things. People of all denominations contributed to the effort, with the result that 14 sacks of gifts arrived at the Home, and also parcels containing new clothing and boxes fil--led wjtli groceries and kitchen utensils. A substantial donation was also received. On behalf of the Home the Alatron desires to heartily thank the people of Oroua Downs for their goodness in helping the orphans.
