FOXTON AMATEUR CYCLING CLUB.
Given fine weather, Thursday next, the King’s Birthday, should he quite a gala day in Eoxton. At 1.45 p.lll. the Silver Band will fall in at the Council Chambers where a procession will lie formed and to the stirring strains of martial music will march to the Triangle. At 2 p.m. the exciting- road racing will commence, 110 loss than twenty trained competitors facing the starter. In all, live races will be ridden and some excellent contests are assured. During the afternoon the kiddies decorated turnouts will he judged and prizes awarded. The committee wants to see as many hoys and girls present as possible. At night there will be a smoke concert and presentation of trophies at Air Perreau’s tea rooms. It is to be hoped the general public will be present in full force to witness the racing and encourage a splendid clean amateur sport.
