Manawatu Herald. THURSDAY, MAY 27, 1926. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
OUTSIDE responsible local governing; bodies, the Chamber of Commerce ranks as of vital importance to the commercial welfare and general prosperity of any community and is, therefore, deserving of general support. Unfortunately there are some who do not realise the sphere of usefulness which the Chamber tills, and while directly and indirectly deriving benefit therefrom, refuse to associate themselves with its activities. We do not suggest that there is any signs of the local Chamber becoming moribund, but it is disappointing to report that so many of our business men are not actively connected with the Chamber. We urge upon all who have the welfare of their home town at heart to join up and thereby assist to keep Foxton in the van of progress.
