A huge vicious gorilla brought l'nun a South Sea isle where he was shipwrecked appears as an important actor in “Lorraine of the Lions.” The gorilla has th unique role of thinking himself a contender for the heart of Lorraine, played by Patsy Ruth Miller. lie kills one of her suitors, assaults another and final I v dies at his own hands. Isadora Bernstein wrote the story which is a sort of feminine Tar/.an yarn. Edward Sedgwick directed the picture. Centuary Comedy, “J'iping Hot.” Monday, Barbara La Marr and Bert Lytell in “Sandra.” TOM MIX IX “THE LUCKY HORSESHOE. Tom Mix’s present picture at the Town Hall “The Lucky Ilorsshoe," must take rank with the best films this artist has made. “The Lucky Horseshoe" is the story of a western ranch man who almost loses the girl he loves because he is too bashful to tell her he loves her before she goes abroad, and too much of a sportsman to tell her when she returns engaged to another man. There are thrills galore intermixed with real comedy, and wonderful scenery in the Spanish scenes. Supporting films are an O’Henry comedy “Shoes,” Cuba (Scenic) gazette and News. Prices as usual. “The Lighthouse by the Sea,” to be seen next Monday is a breathless melodrama of a girl lighthouse keeper and her dog protector who fought a lone tight: against an unscrupulous gang of smugglers. Bin 'fin Tin the wonder dog gives a. marvellous display in the leading role. A comedy “Seeing Things,” scenic and Urban Chat complete a good evening’s entertainment. Prices as usual.
