HOCKEY.
A fast and interesting game took place on Easton Park yesterday afternoon between the local and Ohakea ladies’ clubs, before a good attendance of the public. The visitors were much heavier than the locals and played with greater combination, the local forwards did not Mow up to advantage. The game ended Ohakea 6—Foxton nil. Messrs Woods and Clarke officiated as icferees. After the match the visitors were entertained at afternoon tea at Pcrreau’s rooms.
