ESCAPE FROM PRISON CAMP.
Taumarunui, Last Night. Charles Henry Wjhitehead, a prisoner at the Waikune prison camp at Erua, made his escape from custody yesterday afternoon. The escaped prisoner was at large during the storm of last night and as he is in only the regulation clothes, would suffer considerably through the heavy thunder-storm, The rain, however, woulA do a great deal towards assisting him in his escape.
