THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 24th inst., reads: Hemp, Manila market firmer. “J” grade April-Jnne shipment sold at £4O early this week, but now quoted at £4l 10s. Sisal market steady at past quotation. New Zealand market quiet with value nominally unchanged. April-Juno shipments quoted sellers at £3O -10 s with probable buyers at £35. Fair in dock sold at £34.
