MANAWATU RACING CLUB’S MEETING. The weather was dull, but fine, for the opening day of the above meeting yesterday, and there was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £33,929 as against £27,850 for the corresponding date last year. Woodhey Hack Handicap. —Dobbin 1, Vivo 2, Bonideer 3. Won by a head each way. Time, 1.14 3-5. Karere Hurdles Handicap.— Dubious 1, Comedy Prince 2, Slump 3. Won by a, length and a-half, a length between second and third. Time, 3.13 2-5. Prince of Wlales Handicap.—Degage 1, Phoenix Pai’k 2, The Thorn 3. Won by a length and a-half, with a neck separating second and third. Time, 1.52 1-5. Te Matai Handicap.—Phantasy 1, Kilmiss 2, Perle De Leon 3. Won by a neck, a head between second and third. Time, 1.49 1-5. Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes. —Limerick 1, Lysander 2, Seatown 3. W,on by a long neck, with a head between second and third. Time, 1.26 2-5.

Awapuni Gold Cup. —Rapine 1, Reremoana 2, Grand Knight 3. Won by two lengths, with a half a length between second and third. Time, 2.4 4-5. Telegraph Handicap.—Civility 1, Kaiti 2, Peneus 3. Won by half a length, a length between second and third. Time, 1.13 2-5.

Linton Handicap.—Eden Hall 1, Great Day 2, Lin Arlington 3. Won by three-quarters of a length with a length and'a half between second and third. Time, 1.28.
