NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the powers vested in it by Sections 77, 78, 79, 82, and 83 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1920, Section 41 of The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act 1908, and Sections 48 to 55 of the Rating Act, 1908, and their respective amendments, the Foxton Borough Council will, at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, the 27th day of April, 1926, at 7.30 p.m., make and levy a General Rate of Fourpence and fifty-five sixty-fourths of a penny in the £., a Library Rate of one-eighth of a penny in the £, a Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of twenty-nine sixty-fourths of a penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Foxton, and a Water Supply Rate of Six pounds per cent, on the Annual Value of all land and buildings to which water is supplied, where the annual value thereof exceeds the sum of Twelve pounds ten shillings, and o minimum charge of ten shillings on all land and buildings to which water is supplied, the annual value whereof does not exceed twelve pounds ten shillings, and a supply rate of one half the above amounts on all land and buildings situated within one hundred yards from any water main to which water can be but is not supplied. Such rates to be for a period commencing on the Ist April, 1926, and terminating on the 31st March, 1927, the said rates to be due and payable in one sum on the 17th day of May 1926 at the Town Clerk’s Office, Main Street, Foxton; also that a discount of 2a per cent, be allowed oil all rates paid in full on or before the 16th day of June, 1926.
