SYSTEMATIC THIEVING.
SIX CHARGES AGAINST YOUTH
“This young man has been systematically thieving for some time past, visiting farm houses and stealing articles more or less of value,” said Senior-Sergeant O’Grady at the Palmerston Magistrate’s Court yesterday, a young man of 18 years named Leslie Albert Blueher, a labourer of Mangawliata, who was called upon to answer six charges of theft at Taikorea and Glen Orouu on various dates between September 4 last and Feb-

cerned being of a total value of £5 4s Gd.
Accused pleaded guilty to all
charges. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady said accused had been working at Mangawhata since last October. He was recently before the Court, and was sentenced to seven day’s imprisonment for stealing motor accessories, and was awaiting sentence on a count of stealing a motor-cycle and side-chair.
Remarking that it was a bad thing to see such a young man going wrong, the Bench sentenced Bluelier to one month’s imprisonment on the first charge ad entered a conviction on each of the others
