Messrs.. Levin and Co. Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 19th March, 1926: “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc). —
Down lambs 28/42's, IU.Jd per lb; best North Island, 28/42’s, lOd perlb; ordinary North Island, 28/42’s, 9Jd per lb; second quality lambs 28/42’s, 8-2 d per lb; best North Island wether sheep 48/64's, Ggd per lb; best North Island wether sheep 64/72’s, siid per lb; ordinary North Island wether sheep 48/04’s, 6d per lb; North Island ewes 48/64’s, 4gd per lb; North Island ewes 64/72’s, 4Jd per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef' 160/220’s, 4d per lb. As compared with last week’s quotations, best lamb is fd and ordinary lamb per lb. 'cheaper, second quality unchanged. Best light wethers unchanged, heavy id per lb cheaper, ordinary Jd cheaper. Light ewes id per lb. cheaper, heavy ewes unchanged. Beef id per lb. dearer. Market weaker owing to holders pressing market.
