DEATH OF MAORI “PROPHETESS”.

AGED COUSIN OF RATANA.

The death took place at Parewanui Pah, on Saturday, of Mare Riki Riki te Rangi, known as “Inia the Prophetess,” aged 72 years. She was a cousin of Ratana and was widely known among the natives as a seer and healer. A big gathering of natives has commenced a tangi.
