FALSE DECLARATION

TO OBTAIN WAR PENSION

Christchurch, Last Night. Although he was employed, Collin Gordon Campbell made a declaration that he was out of work and thus secured a war pension to which he was not entitled. This morning he appeared before Mr. Hewitt, S.M., and pleaded guilty to a charge of obtaining payment of a pension under the War Pensions Act, 1925, by means of a false or misleading statement. He was lined £lO and costs.
