FOXTON FIRE BOARD.
.MONTHLY MEETING
The usual monthly meeting of the Foxton Fire Board was held in Perreau’s rooms on Saturday night. Present were Messrs M. E. Perreau (in the chair), F. Woods, M. H. Walker and the secretary (Mr. Roore Rangiheuea). Superintendent Downes was also in attendance. An apology for absece was received from Mr. J. K. Hornblow. An account was received from Mr. T. W. Hunt for lining the station and installing a bath. —Decided to pay the account less the cost of one mirror damaged by the workmen. Decided to try and quit the old bath. Mr. Perreau was authorised when in Dunedin, to attend the U.F.B.A.’s auction sale of brigade equipment and procure six sets of male and female couplings, 2 branches and one stand pipe. It was also decided to make enquiries re the installation of a water pressure guage at the station.
Business of minor importance Avas discussed and the meeting terminated.
