"Following a doubtful sky iu the morning, the weather broke beautifully line for the first day of the Woodville District J.C. meeting yesterday, when the out-of-doors occasion was taken advantage of by a large muster of the sporting public. The track was in splendid order, but winners hard to pick. The tote took £17,594, as against £18,838 last year, a decrease of £1,244.
