“THE ENGLISH FUTURISTS.”
Those who attended the initial performance of the “English Futurists” in the Town Hall on Tuesday night are still talking about it and those who did not, missed seeing the best entertainment that has visited this town. Originality, and “snap” characterised the whole show and it is impossible to single out one artist as all were polished performers. The singing was of very high quality and the costuming and scenery was, to say the least, gorgeous. Interspersed between some beautiful song seenas, delightful solo and eoncerteds, were a number of entirely new and up-to-date skits and burlesques. A special feature of the show was that there were no tedious waiting between the items. Every item was encored and the audience was very enthusiastic in its applause. The announcement, at the conclusion of the performance that the “Futurists” would pay a return visit to Fox ton in May, received a great ovation. A bumper house is guaranteed the company on its return.
