LICENSING COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.

SUPPLEMENTARY ROLLS CLOSED.

The supplementary rolls for the triennial elections of licensing committees throughout the Dominion closed yesterday. The law requiries that tlie elections shall take place on the second Tuesday in March in the year following a General Election, so that the date this year will be March 9. Nominations will close on February 27.

Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district.

Five candidates are required to be elected for each licensing district, of which there are 57 in New Zealand.
