TRAINER KILLED AT DANNEVIRKE.
At about 8.30 p.m. on Saturday a scvcn-seatcr taxi-ear collided with ail electric light pole at Daiincvirke. It was turning out of the northern end of High street and skidded, with the result that the rear portion was smashed as the car crashed into the transmission pole. A man named Lowry, a racehorse trainer, was seated at the point of impact and was so seriously injured that he died on the way to the Dannevirke hospital. It is understood deceased was a married man who resided at Hastings. ____________
