RAILCARS FOR BRANCH LINES.
FOXTON AND GREYTOWN TO BE SERVED.
Kail cars of various types—steam, benzine, etc. —have been undergoing tests by the Department of Railways (says the Dominion). A beginning has been made with the allocation of them to branch lines, on which this type of railway traction is expected to give its best results.
The Prime Minister stated yesterday that a Clayton (steam) will be sent to the Foxton line, and a Ford (benzine) to the Grey town branch.
