JOCKEY DIES OF INJURIES.
Auckland, Yesterday.
The death occurred in hospital to-day of Edward Preston, jockey, aged 28 years, who was injured through his horse falling in a hurdle race at Takapuna last Saturday. [Preston had the mount on Daddy’s Girl in the Takapuna Hurdles, when six horses- fell, all fhe jockeys sustaining more or less serious injuries.]
