MANAWATU-OROUA RIVER BOARD.
The Manawatu Oroua River Board met in Palmerston North on Thursday, Mr. W. S. Carter presiding. Others present were: Messrs. N.°P. Nielsen, A. Seifert, A. Akers, 11. Akers and J. E. Harrison.
Mr. Carter was re-elected chairman for the ensuing year. A welcome was accorded Mr. Seifert on resuming his seat after his trip abroad. Minor matters were then disussed with the board’s consulting engineer (Mr. F. C. Hay) and solicitor (Mr. P. E. Baldwin). The effect of recent legislation was considered in committee.
