MANAWATU RABBIT BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING,
The usual monthly meeting of the Manawatu Rabbit Board was held in the secretary’s office on Thursday, presided over by the Chairman (Mr. B. G. Gower). Also present were Trustees Fleming, Raikes, McKelvie, Boswell, Grammar, and the secretary (Mr. K. Kangiheuea). Mr. D. R. Barron, Board Inspector, was also in attendance. An apology for absence was received from Trustee Barber. CORRESPONDENCE was read and dealt with as follows : From C. Watkins, advising that he has no rabbits on his property and that he would defend any legal proceedings brought by the Board for the recovery of rates. —Received. From 0. H. Kingdon, pointing out the irregularity of the demand for rales and liability to pay only on 10 acres and not on 50 acres.—Left in hands of Inspector. It was resolved to commence a general poisoning on the 15th prox. and to prohibit trapipng os from the Ist prox. until further notice. Accounts amounting to £6l/17/werc passed for payment.
