For the first time in the history of Christchurch, there was a woman Justice of the Peace on the Bench at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. She was Mrs D. 0. Lamb, wife of Commissioner Lamb, Director of Immigration for the Salvation Army, who is visiting Christchurch on an Empire tour.
