Levin & Co., Ltd., have received flu* following cable from their London agents, dated January l!Hh, 192(1: “The auctions opened here to-day with a large attendance of Home and Continental buyers. Bradford competition is more active than at the previous series. Compared wilt) the closing rates of last sales, we quote:
Greasy merino, best, Id per lb. cheaper; greasy mjerino, average, Id per do.;, halfbreds, 50/s(>’s, no change; crossbreds, 48/50’s, do.; crossbreds, 4b/48’s, do.; crossbreds 44/4(i’s, do.; crossbreds, 40/44’s, do.; crossbreds, 30/40’s, do.; scoured merinos,. 3d per lb. cheaper; scoured crossbreds, Id per lb. cheaper. Competition for merinos is irregular, but there is strong competition for crossbreds.
