TOM MIX AS DICK TURPIN.
As “Dick Turpin” at the Town Hall to-night Tom Mix appears as a dashing rascal of lovable qualities and his superb horsemanship is thrillingly demonstrated in his famous “Ride to York.” This feature is so magnificently done that the pulse of the onlooker is at top speed as the wild ride and the relentless chase continues. Another big scene is the reproduction of a London Ring fight in the famous old Blue Boar Inn. Allan Hale and Kathleen Myers are in the supporting cast. Other pictures on tonight’s programme are a Sunshine comedy “Stop, Look and Wihistle” and Fox News. Prices remain as usual. “Between Friends,” Monday night’s feature is adapted from Robert W. Chambers novel of the same name and is played by a line cast of players prominent among whom are Lou Tellegen, Anna Q. Nillson, Alice Calhoun, Norman Kerry, and Stuart Holmes. A Mack Sennett comedy “The Lion and the Mouse” and the latest Pathe Gazette complete the programme. Usual prices. ROYAL PICTURES. Constance Talmadge’s new First ; National comedy, “Learning to Love,” which is to be screened at the Royal Theatre to-night, was written by John Emerson and his wife, Anita Loos. This couple have been associated in the, making of many of Constance Talmadge’s best photoplays. In “Learning to Love” Constance shows modern girls the various ways to capture a husband, The cast includes Antonio Mereno, Constance’s leading man; Johnny Harrou, Wallace MacDonald, Byron Munson, Ray Hallor, Emily Fitz- ( roy, Edythe Chapman, Alf Goulding, Edgar Norton and Percy Williams. Comedy “Junior Partner.” Extra Jack Dempsey in “All’s Swell on the Ocean.” 1 The famous Hope ruby, which is said to be worth SIOO,OOO, and to be one of the costliest single stones in the world, is worn by Claiye Windsor in “Born Rich,” fl the First National picture which will be shown af. the Royal Theatre on Monday. It is a companion stone to the Hope diamond and pearl and once belonged to the Queen of Belgium, “Born Rich,” a First National picture is a thrilling drama of life, but it is enliven- ' J ed by some rare humour.
