PLEASURE BOAT SWAMPED.
ONE DROWNED ANOTHER RESCUED. Invercargill, East Night. AI j-|hoaf 3.30 on Saturday afternoon otic of the Railway Rowing Cluh's hunts overturned in the New river estuary. Leonard Wiarhurton and William O’Neill, who were in the boat, got into difficulties at once, neither being able to swim. A passing launch went to their aid, but both youths sank. O’Neill was restated by the launch, but Warlmrton could not be found. A search was made bv the crews ol the Rowing Club and Warbuton’s body was recovered at about 11 o clock the same night. The boat in which the accident occurred was an ordinary pleasure boat.
