The funeral of Mr. Wlilliam Slewart eldest son of Rev. A. F. Slewart, Shannon, look place on Thursday afternooon. The death of Mrs. R. \\ oodhaia, which occurred at Masterton on Wednesday, removes another of the fast diminishing hand of early pioneers (says an exchange). There recently passed away at Uatailai (Wellington) Mr. -T. W. Slater at the age of 73 years, brother of Mrs F. de Kidder, of Kavoiisworih Place, Foxton.
