RETAIL BUTTER PRICES.
REDUCTIONS ANNOUNCED. Aucklnd, December 1. The butter factories and local marketing association have resolved to reduce the price of butter per pound to: Superfine, wholesale Is B}d., retail Is 10d.; first grade. Is 7-id. , a nd Is fid.; second grade. Is O’d. and Is Bd. respectively. Dunedin, December 1. Butter will be reduced by one penny per pound from to-morrow. [These reductions in the price of butter follow on that of Id. per pound made some weeks ago m the wholesale price in Wellington.] Christchurch, December 1. Although butter has been reduced in price in Auckland, and is to fall to-morrow in Dunedin, representatives of dairy factories say that no reduction at present is proposed in Christchurch. The Canterbury wholesale net price of Is 7d. per lb., is below that ruling in Auckland and Dunedin. _________
