IN BANKRUPTCY
MEETING OF CREDITORS LAPSES. The meeting of creditors in the estate of Tuhi Kimura, aboriginal native, of Bainesse, called for yesterday morning, lapsed for want of a quorum (states the Standard), there being present only the D.O.A. •spdr. C. Dempsy), the bankrupt and his solicitor, Mr. J. L. C. Merton. In his personal statement bankrupt set out that he had been residing at Bainesse for some six years. He had been engaged doing casual work at from 10s to 12s per day, but, owing to broken time as the result of bad * weather and other causes, he had not been constantly engaged for more than eight or nine month’s out of the year and, in consequence, had been gradually'getting behind. He was a married man with'two of a family. He had no assets and could not make any of - fer to his creditors.
FLAXCUTTER FILES. ■ A petition in bankruptcy has been filed by William Frederic Pairsh, flaxcutter, of Moutoa. The financial statement shows the amounts due to.unsecured creditors as totalling £l4l 11s 7d, while assets of £2O are forthcoming from furniture, thus leaving a deficiency of £l2l 11s 7d. - The unsecured creditors and the amounts due to them are as under:: — E. A. Ford and Coy., £4 2s; Thomas Sanson, £57 2s lid; Ralfe Archer, £4O; Dr. Watson, £6; Nicholson, £3; H. Goodall, £l6 6s 8d; V. Edhouse, £5; all of Bulls; Guddy Sandon, £10; total £l4l 11s 7d.
