A MYSTERIOUS ACCIDENT.
• ♦ CAR STOLEN AND WRECKED. INJURED MAN FOUND BY MACHINE. Christchurch, November 15. Capsizing and catching fire at Upper Riccarton, a five-seater mo-tor-car came, to an untimely end. The machine, it is stated, had been taken without the authority of the owner from a street in the city. Beside the car was found a young man suffering from injuries to his face, which were not serious. He said that the man who had been driving the car, and the other men whose names he did not know, had run away after pulling him from under the machine. The owner had left £4O in silver and notes under the seat of the car. When he arrived at-the scene all that could be found of the money was a lump of melted metal.
