ARRESTED TARGE IN THREE HOURS.

Christchurch, Last Night

A lino of £2O and costs was imposed to-day on Stanley John Prattiey, an Ashburton carrier, for recklessly driving a car past the Christchurch hospital yesterday afternoon. On a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a car, the Magistrate held that there was too great a conflict of evidence to convict. Prattley was first arrested for speeding, and was taken to the police station for an intoxication test, which he passed successfully. Inside of three hours, he was arrested again in Cathedral Square, where his gar had burst a tyre, and suffered other damage.
