ENTERTAINMENTS

“IN LOVE WITH LOVE.”

“In Love With Love,” the leading film at the Town Hall on Saturday next is a light screen comedy just as sure to furnish a good evenings entertainment as was the stage play of the same name. The story centres around a girl who encouraged many suitors because she thought she loved them, but who' was really in love with love. She discovered the real truth when a young engineer came along, and refused to make love to her, though she tried with all the tricks in her power to make him. In the end, of course, he 'does, but before that, there is an interesting story in which Marguerite De la Motte, Allan Forrest and Harold Goodwin figure humourously. A special monkey comedy featuring Max, Pep and Moritz, an educational “The Age of Oil” and Fox News complete the programme. Usual prices. On Monday evening a double feature programme will be screened. Edna Ferbers’ story “A Gay Old Dog,” is the No. 1 picture and a western drama “Wolves of the Border” the 2nd. The latest Topical Budget will also be included. Prices as usual, ROYAL PICTURES. A tale of fresh romance and the triumph of right is the new Independent Pictures Corp. offering, “Moccasins,” which will be shown at the Royal theatre on Friday. It is the enthralling story of a young man who comes to the small western town to take possession of the lands which his uncle has left- him, and falls victim to a plot of the town crooks, the leader of whom makes Tom believe his uncle has left him nothing but bad debts. Big things happen in rapid succession and the story winds up with a final situation that will carry the audience off its feet. Also special engagement of Carlton Max, the prince of ventriloquists. If your doctor informed you that you had but one year more to live, what would you do? That most vital of all questions is the basis for First National’s latest picture, “One Year to Live,” which comes to the Royal theatre next Saturday. Aileen Pringle, Antonio Moreno and Dorothy Mackaill are co-featured. Carlton Max, change of programme.
