BEACH NOTES
(Prom our own Correspondent). A meeting- of those interested in tennis at the Beach, was to have been held on Tuesday evening for the purpose of considering ways and means of raising funds to cover the cost of purchasing sufficient wire-netting to surround the courts. Owing to outside attractions, the meeting was postponed, but it is understood that a further meeting will be held on Tuesday next, 10th inst., at 7.30 p.m. in the hall. A supply of new books for the Beach library have now come to hand, and are already in circulation. These books include the latest fiction popular authors. Visitors to the Beach may enjoy the advantages of the library on payment of a small fee. The library is open on Tuesday evenings, from 7 to 8, and Friday afternoons, .from 3.30 to 4.30. ' During the past four months considerable building activity has been shown here, a number of new houses having been erected, principally at the north end of the waterfront. The annual influx of visitors has now commenced in earnest, each day seeing the arrival of fresh families, for the holidays.
