Some time ago about 250 goats were liberated on the swamp at Mirauui by Messrs. A. and L. Seifert, Ltd., with the idea of eradicating the blackberry, but after a fair trial it was found they were doing no good and that they were becoming a nuisance, so it was decided to eradicate them and they have since been destroyed.
