The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day: Indications are for variable and strong breezes. Easterly winds moderate to strong, prevailing and freshening and backing by East to north. Weather cloudy to overcast. Rain probable. Barometer falling but rising after about’ 24 hours. Seas rough; tides poor.
