PLUNKET SOCIETY
A social afternoon was tendered on Monday afternoon to Mrs. T. Hynes a member of the committee, who is leaving the district shortly.
Mrs. F. Robinson (president) in presenting Mrs. Hynes with a small souvenir from the committee, made complimentary reference to Mrs. Hynes’ activities while a member of the committee. All regretted very much that they were losing one of their best workers and wished Mrs. Hynes every success in her new home
A humorous competition, arranged by Mrs. J. M. Barr, in which every competitor got a prize, was very successfully carried out. The president took opportunity of welcoming Mrs. R. D. Barron as- a member of the committee.
Arrangements were also made for the collection to be taken up at tiie motor sports on Labour Day, six of the committee ladies volunteering to take boxes.
